You treated her well enough to make her believe you two had a future. You made her believe all of those lies. That you were a good guy and you wanted to be with her forever.
Well, as we all know now, your actions didn’t prove you wanted her at all and that’s why you lost her. You have no idea the pain you caused her, and every tear she shed for you in front of me only made me angrier.
She chose to stay with you even though she had ample reasons to leave you. She loved you more than you probably have ever had someone love you and you just treated that love like trash. You threw it away like it wasn’t good enough and let me tell you, it was.
She is one of the best people I know, she is kind, loving, forgiving, talented, smart, hard-working, independent, beautiful and so much more. Who doesn’t want a woman like that?
In my opinion, you lost the best woman you are ever going to have, and she lost the person who was only holding her back.
For the rest of your life, you have to sit back and watch her become even stronger and more successful. You are going to have to sit back while her life moves forward and becomes even happier. Especially, when she meets that man of her dreams and I get to be there to help walk her down the aisle.
You always thought she was going to be there. You never fathomed that one day she would move on from the pain you caused her, to find that person she was meant to be with. But that was your loss.
I hope you figure out your priorities after this. I know she wants you to be happy. But the thing I think she wants the most from you is to vow to never treat another woman like you treated her.
We both hope you grow up and realize what you lost so you never do it again because everyone deserves to be happy and be loved, even you. But that won’t happen unless you change and grow up.
My best friend will probably always love you, but you helped her find herself because of the pain you caused her and that’s a great thing.
I am so proud of the woman she is becoming. She lights up my world and I am so happy that I get to be involved in her life for the rest of it. You may have hurt her but I am so happy I was there to help pick her up and make her realize how strong and loved she is.
She will always be one of the most important people in my life, and I’m so sorry that you have to miss out on that now because she is freaking awesome! And you’re never ever going to experience that greatness again!
