Now that we are in the new year I wanted to look back at one of our clients that has been with us for over a year now. It’s exciting to be able to compare growth and share what one year of ads can do! We will look at how their website / online store saw a significant increase, and then look at the social media impact as well.
The quickest look at their growth as a business is revenue, which increased +35% yr/yr. The total units sold, orders, and average order value also increased in this period. The conversion rate did decrease but as we increase cold traffic to a website, at times this can and does affect conversion rate.

The majority of this increase comes from the strategy of running lead-generation campaigns alongside conversion campaigns. Ramping up lead generation before sales and launches, then increasing conversion and retargeting at and after the sale. We found that from 2 weeks up until 1 month for lead generation, before a launch/sale, was best. This gives enough time for people to remain interested and remember the event, plus time to receive several emails regarding the event.
For conversion-focused ads things did vary more — which is normal. If we had a short sale – we pushed lots of budget. If we had a whole week we would spread the budget and try a couple of strategies. We would try cold and retargeting strategies to capture the most amount of ready-to-buy customers and limit unnecessary traffic.
Just some quick website traffic numbers that go along with our conversion results. We saw significant increases in traffic and unique traffic, with a slight increase in bounce rate. This is partially due to the significant increase in cold traffic to lead gen where we weren’t asking them to explore the website much (we were leading to a quiz).
On Social Media, new reach and profile visits both increased heavily throughout 2023. Impressions on ads from Facebook and Instagram alone saw the average frequency become over 6x per customer.
