The aftermath of Black Friday is now behind all of us, though some may still be sweeping up a little bit of rubble. We wanted to highlight some great things we did for clients this Black Friday. We will take a close look into a couple of different campaigns that we ran and their respective results.
For our first client we ran a lead generation campaign that was designed for early access to an annual box they assemble with a variety of products. We started our lead generation on November 2nd and ran it through the 15th. During this campaign, we received over 2,200 sign ups for the early access, with over 300 being brand new potential customers (just from ads).
At launch, there were 350 boxes available, which our early access sign ups would have first dibs on. Around noon on the day of the launch the box had sold out, and nothing was left for the general public.
For $249.95 to the customer, the revenue for these 350 boxes is $87,482.50. Once we consider the margin and overhead we end up with $52,566.50 in profits. With $2,128.92 in spend over those 2 weeks and a little over $2 per lead, we end up at 24.69x return on ad spend.
Our second client we’d like to highlight ran a lead generation ad before Black Friday but we combined it with cold and retargeting campaigns once we got to Thanksgiving and Black Friday itself. Our lead generation ran from October 26th through November 21st spending $1,021.37.
For Just under 800 leads we had a cost per lead of $1.32. All of these email contacts would not only be sent email flows, but be added to our Black Friday retargeting campaigns.
Our main push for Black Friday began Black Friday morning until the following Monday evening. During this time frame our spend was $3,619.73. Facebook backend tracked $41,254.97 in revenue split fairly evenly across cold and warm customers. The 11.40x return on ad spend was a huge win for us and our client!
