Email Marketing and Conversion Sales

For purposes of marketing, outreach, and audience, email remains dominant and relevant. Selling and conversions are some of the highest here. Master communicating this way, and find out why it’s used by top companies today.

What is Email Marketing

Email marketing is just that, marketing through email. Communicating directly with your audience is not only a valuable tool for any business or industry, but it’s also essential. You can inform customers about new products/services, launch dates, sales, and more. That last sentence may be obvious, getting those emails when you just wanted 10% off is annoying sometimes. However, find your audience, and start a dialogue for low-cost sales.

Effective Email Strategies

Though there are dozens, if not hundreds, of styles of campaigns and messages to follow, here are the most common.

  • Newsletter
  • Order Confirmation
  • Inactive Customer
  • Abandoned Cart
  • Member Follow-Up

Newsletters are some of the least converted on emails, as their goal is more to keep in touch and get baseline numbers. Follow-Up and Inactive Customers are fairly middle of the pack as they are more to re-engage with lower-level sales. Abandoned Carts and Confirmation emails are hard-selling strategies. These emails will let a customer know they had interest, and try to reaffirm it.

Converting

There are numerous ways to convert on a campaign. Starting off with a good subject line is important, this will bring the subscriber in to view the email. Great visuals and content that grab attention should be designed to keep viewers on the email. Having a call to action with proper urgency is an effective strategy to move from there. After these three steps, making sure to follow the analytics of open rate and clicks will help show if you have solid content.
