I can’t stress enough the importance of this topic. Q3 has a stigma of being the least essential quarter and the slowest season. This stigma is entirely false. I believe that Q3 has one of the most significant sales impacts on your business, but it also proves that your products/services will always sell no matter what time of year it is. In this blog, I want to discuss the top 3 mistakes I see business owners make in Q3.
Taking Too Much Time Off
As warm weather rolls around, staying focused on work can get more challenging, and vacation starts to call your name. Although taking time for yourself is essential, being conscious of the time you take can be vital to the impact of Q3. Having a solid team that can take over your marketing efforts and keeps your business running may make it easier to take time off. If you are a one-person show, any time off can make your business come to a halt and stop sales from flowing in.
Not Marketing
Organic marketing is just as important as advertising. If you are not showing up and accessible to your audience, you may lose traction, reach, and engagement, affecting your reliability and, ultimately, sales. I suggest posting three times a day and engaging with your audience when they interact with your posts. Showing up and being reliable is what makes or breaks strong organic marketing efforts. If you take time off or stop allocating time to posting and engaging, your audience will lose interest, and you will stop being top of mind when they are ready to pull the trigger and buy.
Not Advertising
I see many entrepreneurs go into Q3 with the mindset that Q3 sees the least amount of sales; therefore, they should not put in the effort to push marketing campaigns, whether organic or paid. This mindset is detrimental and one of the greatest Q3 mistakes. For example, we all know that it can take up to three months for Facebook to understand what it is being asked of when hitting your target market. If you decide to stop your paid Facebook ads for an entire quarter, Facebook loses data saved, and you will have to start over. This can significantly affect sales and the following quarters.
Q3 is just as important as any other quarter. If you feel your marketing efforts are slipping or you know you need more marketing support, please feel free to schedule a free consultation! I am here to support you!
