Finding your target audience might be one of the most important things you can do as a business owner. If you don’t find your target audience you’ll be wasting time, effort, and most importantly MONEY!
Finding your audience
The first thing you can do is narrow down your target audience to see who will most likely benefit from your product or service. You don’t want to be selling/promoting a product/service to a person or a group of people who have no interest or won’t benefit from them at all.
An easy way to find your audience, especially if you’ve already have buyers, is find out their ages, what they like, and where they are located. By learning this you can then find others that have similarities as these past buyers who have already indulged in your product/service.
Look into your competition. Don’t try and do exactly what they do but, differentiate just enough to be able to say you offer something they don’t. AND you’re utilizing their success to help yours. My favorite saying is work smarter not harder, this is the way we ALL want to work!
Be visible online
Being visible online is essential to finding your target audience. It’s so important because others see your profiles, services, and products in a way that they can interact with YOU. A great way to do this is by joining Facebook groups. By doing this you can put yourself in places that have people that will have a potential interest in your business.
Joining Facebook groups as well as creating your own Facebook group is very important because the people who will be joining will be your target audience. Once you find the type of people that enjoy your product/service it’ll get easier and easier to gain more customers.
